Our Wedding

Once upon a time (in 2014), two people met the way all great love stories begin… through a tv-show Meet-Up group at a local bakery. Once a week, we gathered with a bunch of fellow nerds to discuss plot twists, argue over finales, and sip our weight in bubble tea. Apparently, this group had serious matchmaking power—at least three couples (including us!) found their forever person somewhere between sips of taro milk tea and “Did you see this week's episode?” Over the years, our friendship grew stronger. We bonded over shows and video games, played LOTS of board games, and slowly started realizing that maybe, just maybe, this was something more. By the time we officially started dating, we had already bypassed all the awkward first-date stuff. No “What do you do for fun?”—we knew. We’d already done the work. All that was left was falling in love... and surviving a global pandemic. A month after our first official date, the world shut down. Romantic, right? We traded movie dates for socially-distanced park walks and curbside takeout eaten in the car like classy people. Honestly, it was kind of great—we had fun, got creative, and never ran out of things to talk (or laugh) about. We like to go at our own pace, so, true to form, we took our time. After 11 years of knowing each other and 5 years of dating, Andrew decided it was time to level up. He proposed during a visit to Gibbs Garden—one of our favorite outdoor Covid-date spots—right in the middle of a blooming daffodil field. It was perfect for us! Now we’re getting married, and we can’t wait to celebrate this next chapter with all our amazing friends and family. Thanks for being part of our story—we’re so lucky to have you along for the ride.
